Psychotherapy is a process that allows us to begin to better understand what is at the root of things. This could be a painful pattern we feel stuck in, a relational dynamic that is challenging, or a persistent worry that arises. It also provides us with a path forward: to begin to fully understand what we need, what we desire, and how to find fulfillment and joy in our lives.
I enjoy working with families and individuals that are looking to dive deeper into why things are the way they are. I have been a clinical supervisor for over 12 years, and also provide consultation and clinical supervision to clinicians.
My style is warm, collaborative, and very much rooted in the belief that connection is the agent of change. I work from a lens of cultural sensitivity and understand that our identities, cultural norms and experiences within the greater culture shape who we are and impact how we feel. I consider the therapeutic relationship a partnership, where together we will explore and understand the difficulties that are getting in the way.
