Do you accept insurance?

We are In Network with BCBS PPO and BCBS Choice plans. If you have other insurance, it would be considered Out-of-Network. For these plans, you would be responsible for paying session fee at the time of session and we would provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Insurance can be confusing, so feel free to talk to your therapist with any questions you might have.

How do I get started?

Feel free to reach out to us through our website, by email or by phone. If it feels like a good fit, we will send you a link for some initial paperwork to fill out. This paperwork will need to be completed prior to your first session.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. We believe confidentiality is essential to building a safe and trusted relationship. Your information will never be shared without your explicit permission. There are a few important exceptions to this, which include: suspected child or elder abuse, threatening serious harm to another person/group, threatening to harm oneself. Your therapist will discuss these matters with you in your first session and can answer any additional questions you have.

What therapy methodologies do you use?

We work from a relational, psychodynamic lens. This means that we believe early relationships and experiences are formative and shape who we become, what we desire, and relationship conflicts we might encounter. Our therapists are all experts in development and use this in our work with children and families.

How long does it take for therapy to “work”?

Many people feel relief fairly quickly from starting therapy. Each treatment process is unique because each individual or family system is unique. Having a place that can hold our worries, our overwhelm or our fears can feel like there is a trusted space where we can put down the heaviness that we’ve been carrying on our own. So in short, there is no one simple answer. Each client will work with their therapist to determine the length of their treatment.
